Standing Room Only Session: Analytics and AI: How Gen AI Is Shaping the Future of Utilities
Our session on Monday, March 25, was standing-room only! Chris Moyer, the former CTO of Exelon and now an rSTAR Advisory Council member, wowed the audience with his information-packed presentation. Chris spoke on the industry’s current state and how it is uniquely positioned to utilize GenAI. The energy and utility industry collects plentiful data, which is needed to program machine learning models. Companies already have structures around how data may be used and to ensure data privacy and security. They also have regular and frequent contact with their customers. Additionally, regulators continue to pressure the industry to do more with less, thus tacitly supporting the use of technology to enhance CX.

After Chris presented his insights, rSTAR’s Vice President of Information Technology, Vivek Ahuja, presented a GenAI demonstration showcasing how the technology may be used in call centers to improve customer service.
